In 2025, Cadillac’s factory team in the World Endurance Championship will be Britain’s Team Jota, which will receive two V-Series.R hypercars.
This season, Jota is partnering with Porsche, while General Motors’ factory programme is being run in partnership with the Chip Ganassi Racing team, which competes in the WEC as Cadillac Racing and currently has just one car in the LMH class. However, Jota will field two Cadillac sports prototypes at the start of next year’s championship.
“Cadillac is proud to compete in the WEC against the best teams in the world, including Team Jota,” said John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac. “We are excited to begin our partnership with Jota next year, combining our years of racing experience and knowledge to continue our success on the track and grow our brand around the world.”
Team Jota has been competing in the WEC in the LMP2 category for over ten years and its drivers have repeatedly won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in this class. But last year the team moved up to the top category of endurance racing and in May 2024 it won the 6 Hours of Spa.
“Jota has always aspired to be a factory team, so joining forces with Cadillac allows us to realise that dream,” continued Sam Hynett, Team Jota’s managing director and founder. “We have competed with Cadillac for two seasons, we know what a fast car it is and we consider it a great honour to be competing in their equipment from 2025.”
Which riders will compete for Team Jota in 2025 will be announced at a later date.
