Oliver Berman hopes he will get the chance to learn a lot from Lewis Hamilton next year when the seven-time world champion moves to Ferrari and the young Briton becomes a Haas F1 driver.
The close technological collaboration between the two teams continues and Oliver is a graduate of the Ferrari Racing Academy and of course all his links with the Scuderia remain.
“I think he will bring his wealth of experience to the team. Lewis was a seven-time world champion, which is something not many people can boast,” Berman told Sky Sports. – It’s great that he can share his experience with me to some extent. I hope I can learn a lot from him. I think he will be a very valuable asset to Ferrari.”
In the second round of the season, Berman got the chance to make his Formula 1 debut for Ferrari when Carlos Sainz unexpectedly retired, and Oliver, then only 18 years old, did a great job, earning points for 7th place. In addition, he became the youngest Ferrari driver in the history of the legendary team in Formula 1.
“I became the youngest Ferrari driver and for me this is a very special event,” he continued. “Of course I dream of winning the title with this team, because they have supported me since 2021. They saw something like that in me a long time ago, believed in me and even trusted me to get behind the wheel in Jeddah, even though it was a serious risk for Ferrari.”
