McLaren drivers have taken two victories this season, but Zac Brown is also trying to keep up with them: he won the historic car race, held as part of California’s traditional Monterey Motorsport Reunion festival.
The McLaren Racing CEO is at the event with his United Autosports team and they were of course the first to congratulate Zach on his success.
Since winning the race in the Williams FW07B that Alan Jones drove to become world champion in 1980, United Autosports’ social media pages have posted this short comment: “Congratulations Zach, what a weekend behind the wheel of a Williams!”
“An incredible weekend in this car, winning at my home circuit, which makes it even more special!” added Bruin.
He rightly considers the Laguna Seca circuit his “home”, as he comes from California.
