After the summer break, McLaren are looking forward to getting back to work on the race circuits, assuring fans that they will look to continue the fight for podiums and race wins in the second half of the season.
Lando Norris: “We’ll be back! I had a great summer holiday; it’s always nice to have some rest and spend more time with family and friends. I feel like I’ve regained my strength and am ready for the remaining ten races of the season. Now I’m preparing for the Dutch Grand Prix – this race is good for the start of the second part of the season. It always attracts a lot of fans who create a great atmosphere, and we’re happy to be part of it.
“In addition, Zandvoort is an interesting circuit and I hope we can continue in the same vein and fight for more victories and podium places.”
Oscar Piastri: “I’m happy to be back working on the track. Although I was happy to leave the racing thoughts behind and take some time to relax, I’m now ready to fight again and I’m looking forward to the second half of the season.
I liked the results I showed before the break in the championship, and it was nice to win in Hungary and take second place in Spa. I am looking forward to getting behind the wheel again at Zandvoort, because race weekends at this circuit are always great, also thanks to the excellent characteristics of the circuit, with profiled corners.
I plan to work hard to achieve higher positions in the championship.”
Andrea StellaTeam Principal: “Two weeks of summer break are behind us, now we’re going back to racing with renewed energy. The Dutch fans always create a great atmosphere, and Zandvoort is a short circuit that requires precise driving, and the challenges we have to solve there are different to those we face at Spa or Monza.
This weekend marks the start of a very busy period with four races in five weeks. We need to make the most of every opportunity that comes our way, but for that we need perseverance, focus and the ability to work together – then the results will come.”
