Russian driver Shvartsman to replace Bottas in first practice for Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix

Russian and Israeli pilot Robert Schwartzman will replace Finn Valtteri Bottas behind the wheel of a Kick Sauber car during the first free practice session of the 15th round of the Formula 1 season – the Dutch Grand Prix, the team’s press service reports.

— The young driver, Ferrari’s reserve driver for this Formula 1 season, will take Valtteri Bottas’ place for the entire session, and the Finn will return to work for the rest of the weekend. As always, we work in partnership with Ferrari to give young talents the opportunity to participate in training sessions. Good luck, Robert! — the press service said in a statement.

In January 2023, Schwartzman left Ferrari, but remained the Italian team’s reserve driver in Formula One.

The first and second free practice sessions of the Formula 1 round in the Netherlands will take place on Friday, with the race taking place on Sunday.
