Wolff: We intend to continue the progress made

Mercedes drivers won three of the four Grands Prix leading up to the championship’s summer break, and ahead of the Dutch leg of the season, team principal Toto Wolff assured that they have no intention of stopping there.

Toto Wolff: “We are ready to race again this weekend in Zandvoort. Before the summer break we had a good momentum and thanks to the fact that the car became more efficient we showed better results. Now we are preparing to continue the progress made during the remaining ten races of the season.

We know that we have to catch up. We are not able to fight for victory at every Grand Prix, although by eliminating the weaknesses of the W15 we have made significant progress, and the hard work in this direction will continue. If we succeed, we will be able to catch up with those ahead of us in both championships.

Zandvoort – the track is difficult and narrow. With its contoured corners, high-speed sections and distinctive configuration, it is closer to the old-fashioned circuits. The passionate Dutch fans always create a great atmosphere and this track is good to get back to work. Overall, we are ready for all the challenges that await us in the remaining stages of the season.”
