Australian runner Jack Duane will compete for Alpin in the upcoming Formula 1 season, the French team’s press office reports.
For the 21-year-old, the coming year will be his championship debut. Previously, he took part in Formula 1 tests and completed several free practice sessions. Duane joined the Alpine academy in 2022. Jack is the son of five-time MotoGP world champion Mick Duane.
Earlier it was reported that Frenchman Pierre Gasly would continue to play for Alpine and Esteban Ocon would continue his career with the Haas team from the 2025 season.
Currently, two Australians are participating in the championship: Daniel Ricciardo (RB) and Oscar Piastri (McLaren).
