McLaren drivers start in the top three at Zandvoort. At the FIA press conference after qualifying, Oscar Piastri said that the team does not forbid him to fight for victory in the Dutch Grand Prix with his partner, although Norris’ victory is preferable to McLaren’s Piatri’s given the situation in the individual competition.

Lando Norris, who was sitting next to him, confirmed his partner’s words: “We can fight. In fact, the team has never had any rules about this, except one: we can’t bump into each other. Other than that, we can fight and we’ve done it well in the past.”
