In qualifying at Zandvoort, Daniel Ricciardo lost again to fellow RB Yuki Tsunoda…
Yuki Tsunoda (13th): “I am angry. I feel like we drove worse than in the second practice. The lap went quite well, but the car didn’t have enough speed. I thought we would easily make it to the final, but I struggled to get through the first part of qualifying.
The weather here is unpredictable, anything can happen. We have a chance to earn points, I will do everything to make it happen.”
Daniel Ricciardo (16th): “The rain and the wind made everything very difficult. In qualifying it was not easy to do a clean lap, it seemed that I had more problems than my rivals. Last night we found something in the settings that could help, but the speed was not enough.
In some corners the rear of the car slid away, I had to go through with reserve and due to the lack of speed I couldn’t attack.
Crashing in the first session doesn’t make it any easier. It’s difficult to overtake on a narrow circuit, but we’ll see what happens in the end.”
