Haas F1 failed to score any points at Zandvoort, although Nico Hulkenberg, who finished eleventh, came very close…
Nico Hulkenberg (11th): “I’m a bit disappointed now. It looked really good for most of the race but I don’t think we had the right strategy. You have to watch the footage and figure it out.
In the end Pierre and Fernando had much fresher tyres so I couldn’t make up for it. It’s a shame because today we could have scored a few points but overall a good end to a difficult weekend.”
Kevin Magnussen (18th): “I started from the pit lane and knew the race would be difficult – and it proved to be. The car allowed me to drive at a good pace, I was confident in the battle with my rivals.
“Getting away on the first or second lap cost me my position and after the first pit stop I got stuck in traffic. I hope the next circuits, which require a medium level of downforce, will suit us better.”
