Uralkali said he received money and a racing car from the Haas Formula 1 team.

Russian company Uralkali said it had received “Haas” the money that the American Formula 1 team had to pay according to a Dutch court decision.

Earlier, media reported that Uralkali, before the Dutch Grand Prix, had appealed to the District Court of the province of North Holland in Haarlem, demanding that the cars and equipment be confiscated from Haas. The company wanted to receive compensation from the team, which the court ordered to be paid after the termination of the sponsorship contract.

— Uralkali confirms that it has received the full amount that should have been paid by Haas in accordance with the decision of the Swiss arbitration court, including accrued interest and arbitration costs. In addition, we have received the team’s racing car, which was also to be transferred to Uralkali under the terms of the sponsorship agreement.

In this regard, Uralkali has informed the Dutch government authorities of the possibility of lifting the seizure of Haas’ assets, which would allow the team to remove them from the country, the statement said.

Uralkali was the title sponsor of Haas from 2021 to 2022. The agreement between the parties was terminated earlier than expected due to the situation in Ukraine at that time, Uralkali had already paid the team most of the sponsorship money for that year. In June 2024, the arbitration court examined the dispute between Uralkali and the American team under the Swiss arbitration rules and awarded compensation to the Russian company. All counterclaims of the team were dismissed.
