Liam Lawson could get back behind the wheel of Formula 1 this weekend in Monza, according to numerous sources.
Williams boss James Vowles was very unhappy about Logan Sargent’s crash during practice at Zandvoort on Saturday. Multiple sources report that Vowles met with Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner to discuss the possibility of loaning Liam Lawson until the end of the season. Specific agreements have not yet been made, but after the race Horner made it clear that such an option was possible.
Christian Horner: “It all depends on the terms of the agreement and whether we can get Liam back when we need him. If Williams need a driver for next weekend, we are of course prepared to discuss that. But still, it is more a question for them, not for us.”
