The racing helmet worn by Nico Hulkenberg during the Dutch Grand Prix was sold at a charity auction for 70.5 thousand euros.
The proceeds will go to the Dutch company Lymph&Co, which is developing new, more effective methods for combating lymphomas – a group of dangerous hematological diseases, a form of blood cancer.
As part of this campaign, the German Haas F1 driver teamed up with Prince Bernhard of Orange-Nassau, a member of the Dutch royal family and entrepreneur, and with Robert van Overdijk, director of the Dutch Grand Prix.
A number of other valuable items from the recent race weekend were put up for auction, including a replica of the winning cup won by Lando Norris, provided by Royal Delft, the famous royal porcelain factory founded in the mid-17th century.
