Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur is optimistic about the home leg of the Scuderia…
Frederik Vasseur: “After the race in Zandvoort we are going to Monza full of confidence. We have shown how key factors combined with perfect execution can lead to success in modern Formula 1.
Monza is unique in many ways. It is the only superspeedway left on the calendar, where we will have to get used to the new asphalt and kerbs this year.
What will make this stage special for Ferrari is the support of tens of thousands of tifosi who will cheer us on all weekend – they are waiting for excellent results.
I will never forget my first Italian Grand Prix with Ferrari last year, the screams of joy after Carlos took pole on Saturday and the joy of the fans gathering on the podium.
The goal for me, the drivers and everyone at the Scuderia – the team on track and the hundreds of people in Maranello – is to give the tifosi something to celebrate again.
We have been preparing seriously for this phase and will release several new products for the SF-24, which will allow us to take a step forward in terms of performance. We know that we can count on the support of all our fans and we will put our heart and soul into this event.”
