For the third time this season, the fastest pit stop of the race was made by McLaren mechanics, who serviced Lando Norris’ car in 2.27 seconds on lap 19. This is an exact repeat of the best pit stop of the year shown by Red Bull Racing in Melbourne.
Red Bull Racing’s mechanics only second this time – Sergio Perez’s pit stop on lap 50 took a little longer – 2.29 seconds.
In total, the teams made 25 pit stops during the race in Imola. The longest was a pit stop by Valtteri Bottas on lap 23, which took 11.84 seconds due to a hitch with the wheel attachment.
