Carlos Sainz will leave Ferrari at the end of the season to drive for Williams next year, but in an interview with DAZN Spain he vowed to return.
Carlos Sainz: “I leave with good results and on good terms with Frédéric Vasseur and Charles Leclerc. We have a strong team, we worked well together, achieved victories and podiums.
You can never close the door on a team like Ferrari, especially when you consider that I still have five to ten years left in my career. Maybe I’ll come back again.
I really appreciate my four seasons at Ferrari and my three victories in red. At the moment I just want to enjoy my last few races for the Scuderia and not worry about anything else. You never know what will happen after that. I really enjoy driving for Ferrari, I will be a Ferrari driver for a few more races in which I want to achieve the maximum.
To some extent I became a victim when the seven-time world champion decided to spend the last part of his Formula 1 career at Ferrari.”
