Daniel Ricciardo posted the eighth fastest time in the second practice and is happy with the balance of the car. Yuki Tsunoda was only 16th, but hopes to improve tomorrow.
Daniel Ricciardo (8th): “Hello, the car is fine. There are some tracks that I like more than others and Monza is one of them.
Compared to last year, a few things have changed. There is new asphalt and as we have seen from other riders, it can be difficult to find grip. It is challenging but fun.
“I’m happy with today, we’ve laid a good foundation for the weekend. There’s no urgent need to change anything, we understand the car and know what to do tomorrow.”
Yuki Tsunoda (16th): “The day proved difficult for me, we still have a lot to understand. There have been some changes on the track, the asphalt has become smoother, the kerbs have changed which made it possible to attack a bit more aggressively.
This is just the first day. “At night, engineers will analyze the telemetry and we will understand how we can add something tomorrow.”
