Max Verstappen’s seventh place at Monza is his worst starting position this season. 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg suggested that at this rate both Max and Red Bull Racing would lose the drivers’ and constructors’ titles.
Nico Rosberg: “Red Bull’s result is shocking; it’s just unbelievable from which position Verstappen will have to start. I’m pretty sure the team won’t understand what’s wrong with the tyres this weekend and how to fix it.
For them, ‘dark times’ have begun. Max doesn’t realize it yet, but they are losing control of the situation and it looks surreal. The team is in a very difficult situation and the situation inside can develop into panic very quickly.
The drivers’ title and the constructors’ championship are starting to elude them. If it continues like this, it will happen very soon.”
