Sauber remains one of two Formula 1 teams that still have vacancies for next season. Valtteri Bottas is believed to have the best chance of securing a contract, but at Monza, Sauber Motorsport chief Mattia Binotto named three more young drivers, each with a chance of becoming Nico Hulkenberg’s teammate in 2025.
“I know Mick Schumacher very well from the Ferrari Academy,” Binotto told German Sky. “And I know how strong he can be as a driver.” He is on our list, as are many others.
Who else? Our reserve rider Theo [Пуршер]. He is already part of the team, so don’t doubt that he is also on the list.
Gabriel Bortoleto is performing very well in Formula 2. He has shown that he has great talent and we are following his performances. But these are not the only names that catch our attention.”
