Andrea Kimi Antonelli: “What has changed? Since then I have completed a big test programme with cars from previous years, and I have felt serious progress. I feel much more comfortable now.
One of my weak points was the long series of laps, but I have improved this indicator considerably. I have become familiar with the car and all the procedures, although I still have a lot to learn, as was confirmed by the accident in the first practice at Monza. But every time I get in the car, I feel so much better.
The car is incredible. Fantastic power, high downforce, great brakes and a lot of people around you in the pits – it was incredible. I’m not used to this.
“When the rumours about a move to Formula 1 appeared, I didn’t believe it, but I trust Mercedes completely, they trust me, and there is a reason for their decision. My goal is to do my best, learn as much as possible and be ready for 2025.”
