In Monza, Max Verstappen finished sixth, repeating his worst result of the season. After the race, the reigning world champion spoke about the car’s lack of speed and poor handling. His Red Bull Racing teammate Sergio Perez said that Max Verstappen is now starting to experience problems that he himself has been suffering from for several months.
Sergio Perez: “My feeling is that nothing has changed in the last 10 races; my car was driving exactly the same in Monza as before. But suddenly Max started having the same problems as me. And this is a bit surprising. But from telemetry data we know exactly what the problem is.
“I’m disappointed with these results. I expected Monza to be difficult, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. We were very slow and the rubber degradation was high, especially on the Medium compound.”
