On September 8, Roman Rusinov will take part in the four-hour REC Marathon with the new Russian race car Rossa LM GT at Moscow Raceway. Rusinov, winner of the FIA WEC World Endurance Championship, multiple winner of international GT races and the European Le Mans Series, will drive the No. 26 G-Drive Rossa Racing crew in the GT Pro class.
The Rossa LM GT concept was unveiled last fall, with the first demonstration runs taking place at the REC stage at Igora Drive circuit in late July as part of the Garage Fest festival. The Rossa LM GT will make its full race debut this Sunday.
The car, assembled in Russia, is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive supercar with a carbon fiber monocoque and a 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 640 hp.
The racing version differs from the road concept car by more powerful brakes, a different suspension design and a sequential gearbox with direct shifting. The total weight of the Rossa LM GT is 1200 kg, the capacity of the fuel tank is 80 liters.
Roman Rusinov: “I have driven foreign-made racing cars my entire career, but at the same time I have actively participated in the process of refining and improving them. This experience has helped me enormously in creating this racing car. Going to the start of the marathon with our brand new car is a serious challenge.”
The Rossa LM GT debut will be seen from the stands of Moscow Raceway this Sunday and in a live broadcast that will be shown on the Start TV channel and on the REC series page in VK. The broadcast will begin at 15:00 Moscow time. The marathon will start at 15:30 and will end four hours later after sunset.
