Verstappen has named who he would like to race against at Le Mans

Max Verstappen has repeatedly said that he dreams of one day competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and when he took part in an interview for the Red Bull e-racing team’s YouTube channel, he was asked which drivers he would like to race with in the legendary marathon.

The three-time world champion immediately called in Nick de Vries, an experienced professional who once won the title in Formula 2 and then in Formula E, competed in Formula 1, albeit without much success, and has now moved to the WEC in the Toyota factory team.

“Nick de Vries is one of the riders I would definitely like to see in such a team”, says Max. – If a rider can ride very fast and at the same time be very light, then that is of course great!

And Fernando Alonso and I keep joking that we wouldn’t mind driving together at Le Mans, which would be just cool. So we already have three drivers.”

Alonso has already won twice at Le Mans with Toyota, so his wealth of endurance racing experience could be useful to any team, but when asked to name four drivers (including himself, of course), Verstappen reiterated that he would like to put my father in such a team, who has also had quite a bit of success in “long” races.

“I keep telling my dad that we have to do this race together someday,” the three-time world champion added. “He doesn’t want to, but I would still take him into the team. I have no doubt that we would have had fun this week at Le Mans!”
