RB is not yet completely satisfied with the car, but they are counting on progress on Saturday…
Yuki Tsunoda (11th): “At the beginning everything was not easy, between sessions we managed to improve, but it was not enough to be at the forefront of the average group of teams. On such a circuit it is difficult to achieve a good balance, but with every session we are improving.
“We need to clarify the settings and get rid of the swing that hampered the second practice session. We already have some ideas on how to improve tomorrow so we can get good results in qualifying.”
Daniel Ricciardo (16th): “It’s nice to be back at this circuit, where I last raced a few years ago. The first practice went well. I got used to it quickly and felt comfortable, but in the second practice we made adjustments to improve the grip, but it didn’t work.
Tomorrow we will return the settings we used this morning. If we can improve, we will fight in the second part of qualifying. Like on any other street circuit, if you can put the lap together, you can be very fast. We will do everything possible for this.”
