Theo Purscher: Although I don’t think about Formula 1

Theo Purscher, who will be driving in Formula 2 for the ART team this year, admitted that he is in his last season in this championship and does not yet know what the next phase of his career will be.

The 18-year-old French driver has been included in the Sauber youth program because Frederic Vasseur considers him very talented and promising.

In Hungary, Purscher was able to win the feature race of the weekend and it was his third win of the season, closing the gap to Felipe Drugovic, although it is still quite large. Theo has 159 points, while the Brazilian, the leader of the individual classification, has 180. However, there are still races ahead in Spa, Zandvoort, Monza and Abu Dhabi, so the picture in the championship could change.

“This is definitely my last season in Formula 2. It is not possible for financial reasons to spend another season here,” Franceracing.fr quotes Theo. – In any case, it wouldn’t be the best decision – two seasons in one championship is enough.

Although I don’t think about Formula 1, but it remains my dream. I’m glad I’m at least competing in F2. If you remember how my career developed and where I started, I think Formula 2 racing is already great.

Maybe one day I’ll get the chance to break through in F1, maybe not. So far I don’t even know if I can work at least one training session on Friday. So for now it’s best to focus on my F2 season as much as possible. And if there’s a chance, I’ll try not to miss it.

If I can’t get into Formula 1, I don’t know what to do. The question remains open. Let’s see. My management and I haven’t thought about it yet. There can be multiple options. But for now I just know there are four more stages of the season in F2 ahead, and then we’ll see.
