Lando Norris starts from pole in Singapore and expects to win…
Lando Norris: “Yesterday was a good day for us, we did everything we had to do, but it’s always difficult to perform at this circuit, whatever the conditions. I’m looking forward to today’s race. It won’t be easy, but we’ll see what we can achieve.
It is clear that the task today is to turn pole into a win, and I am confident that we can do that. It is also clear that there are fast cars starting behind us, and the race is long and a lot can happen. We have a fast car, but we also have to drive as well as possible and this weekend I feel like I am performing at my best. At the same time, I feel quite comfortable behind the wheel, and that is always a great combination of factors.
“In general, I will try to ride as fast as possible, but at the same time I will keep an eye on the condition of the tyres. It is quite difficult to do this at the same time, but I feel that we will succeed. I have no influence on what happens behind me, but I plan to concentrate fully on my work. Although it will be nice if the rivals fight each other and I can break away from the peloton a bit, we will stick to our plan.”
