Nico Hulkenberg earned two points for Haas F1 in Singapore, while his teammate finished last…
Nico Hulkenberg (9th): “I am happy to earn points. There are a few things that need to be analysed, but apart from that everything went smoothly. The race was not very eventful, but in the second stint it was difficult to keep the Red Bull driver behind him. I managed it, which was a kind of compensation for last week.
The most important point was a good performance in yesterday’s qualifying. Today I had a good start and didn’t make any mistakes, which allowed me to earn points.”
Kevin Magnussen: (19th): “I got a puncture – sometimes you hit a bump and the tyre cuts. We weren’t fast on Hard, we tried to use the opposite strategy, stretching out the first segment waiting for the safety car. As a result, I had to close the gap on Hard and at the end of the race I got a puncture.
We had good pace in the last races, in Austin we will update the car to finish the season better.”
