Sergio Perez: We can still turn the season around

Sergio Perez is clearly inferior to his Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen this year and is complaining about the car. When Verstappen won, these complaints sounded unconvincing, but when Max started having problems, the team admitted their existence.

There was a lot of talk, people thought I was the problem, that I wasn’t focused enough, or something like that. But I’m just glad we found the problem and can focus on solving it.

At the beginning of the season I experienced bad roadholding and felt very uncomfortable in the car. When you enter a corner and you don’t know what’s coming, it’s impossible to attack with full power.

“Now the team has discovered many problems and found a direction for further work. Now we know what we are dealing with and we are going in the right direction. I am sure we can still turn the season around.”
