Daniel Ricciardo won’t be out of a job after being fired from RB. Red Bull offers him the role of brand ambassador to participate in events for press and fans. But if Daniel decides to continue his racing career, the Australian V8 Supercars have already expressed their interest. Series director Shane Howard made it clear that he would like to see the driver at his home.
Shane Howard: “I think everyone will welcome Daniel with open arms. Would we like to see it in V8 Supercars? 100% Imagine being able to get behind the wheel of one of our cars and take part in Perth’s new street race. It would be huge.
Ricciardo is an incredible driver, an incredible personality, the public loves him. Imagine him racing at Bathurst! That would be really cool. We will contact Daniel and his manager in due course.”
The V8 Supercars Championship takes place in Australia and New Zealand.
