Ticket sales for the 2025 Australian Grand Prix were due to start on Tuesday, but due to a malfunction at ticket operator Ticketmaster, sales only started on Wednesday. The demand was so high that all tickets for Saturday and Sunday were sold out within an hour.
A limited number of tickets are still on sale for Thursday and Friday, but they are expected to be sold out. In 2024, 452,055 spectators attended Albert Park during the race weekend, and in 2025 organizers expect even more fans as grandstand capacity will be slightly increased ahead of next year’s stage.
The interest of local fans in the Melbourne Grand Prix is understandable, as two Australian racers will compete in 2025: Oscar Piastri and Jack Duane. Moreover, they should be accompanied by New Zealander Liam Lawson.
