Pirelli testing completed at Mugello

A two-day test with Pirelli tires ended at the Italian circuit in Mugello. If work was disrupted by bad weather on Tuesday, Red Bull Racing, Ferrari and McLaren carried out full tests on Wednesday.

Liam Lawson in Red Bull, as well as Charles Leclerc (in the morning) and Carlos Sainz (in the afternoon) tested prototype tires for next season. McLaren driver Lando Norris has been working on tires for 2026.

In the morning the track was wet, so the riders rode the first laps on intermediate tires, but the asphalt dried up quite quickly and everyone switched to using slicks.

Lando Norris rode the longest distance: 118 laps and the best time was 1:21.302 s. Liam Lawson completed 116 laps (best time 1:23.219 s), Charles Leclerc 79 laps (1:21.053 s) and Carlos Sainz 77 laps (1:21.890 s).

The next tests of the 2025 tires will take place in the second practice session of the Mexico City Grand Prix, and the Alpine team will test prototypes of the 2026 tires at the Magny-Cours circuit on November 13 and 14.
