Former Formula 1 driver David Coulthard believes the McLaren team will enter the final part of the season with much more confidence in their abilities than before.
David Coulthard: “If we said at the beginning of the season that McLaren sometimes behaves like an insufficiently experienced team that has recently come back into contention and achieved good results, now everything is different. McLaren’s mentality changed and they believed they were in the race for the title. McLaren leads the Constructors’ Championship and could win both championships this year.
Red Bull Racing achieved three first and second places in the first four races, but Sergio Perez had not finished on the podium since the Chinese Grand Prix and Verstappen had not won since the Spanish Grand Prix. One thing is certain. Red Bull will not give up, they will not give up the current project to focus on 2025. They will fight until the end and Max always attacks flat out, so we wait to see how this battle will end.”
