McLaren boss Brown on Verstappen sanctions: ‘Most likely it’s not enough’

McLaren boss Zak Brown says it is likely Red Bull driver Max Verstappen received few penalties during the Mexican Grand Prix.

During the race, Verstappen received two ten-second penalties for tackling Lando Norris (McLaren). As a result, Norris finished second and Verstappen sixth.

— Most likely, these fines are not enough. I mean, this is just getting ridiculous. On the other hand, we must give credit to the judges. If they think that’s punishment enough, it probably is. The most important thing is that in the future the competition in the races is correct. Based on today’s decisions, it is clear that the stewards are striving to achieve this goal,” quotes Brown from Sky Sports F1.

The winner of the Mexican Grand Prix was the Spaniard Carlos Sainz (Ferrari). In the general classification, Max Verstappen (362 points) occupies first place, Lando Norris is second (315 points) and Charles Leclerc (291 points) is third.
