Hulkenberg: Interlagos is inextricably linked to the history of F1

Haas F1 approaches the Brazilian phase of the season, taking 6th place in the Constructors’ Championship and increasing its lead over Visa RB to ten points, as both team drivers finished in the top ten in Mexico City.

Ayo Komatsuteam leader: “Interlagos is a very technical circuit, distinguished by its dynamic character and organic configuration. The Autodromo in Sao Paulo is known for its rich history and incredible atmosphere, and the races there are often very interesting.

Our team has special memories of Interlagos in 2022, when Kevin Magnussen won the sprint qualifying. We are of course happy to return to Brazil and will try to complete this series of three races in a row with a good result and finish in the top ten again.”

Nico Hulkenberg: “The race at Interlagos is inextricably linked to the history of Formula 1, in Sao Paulo you literally feel it everywhere and for us it is still a very special experience to compete on this circuit.

Driving from the Ayrton Senna Escas to Turn 4 is phenomenal fun, and the entire Brazilian weekend is a carnival-like affair. I have already earned points in three races in a row and in Brazil I will try to continue this successful run.”

Kevin Magnussen: “Of course I have pleasant memories of Brazil. In 2022 we won pole position at this circuit, and I will always remember this day – perhaps this is my best working day in Formula 1.

I like Interlagos itself and the atmosphere on this track. At every race we go to, the fans create a unique atmosphere, and in Brazil there is a football stadium not far from the track, and the Brazilian fans have this culture, so when we come to Sao Paulo we immediately feel it all. This is another level, which I really like.

I also love that the beautiful Brazilian circuit always brings back memories of Ayrton Senna.”
