Haas team boss Ayo Komatsu has confirmed that Esteban Ocon will drive their car for the first time during the post-season test in Abu Dhabi. Oliver Berman, who will also play for Haas in 2025, will spend the day in the youth tests.
Esteban Ocon himself tries not to think about the upcoming move to Haas and is fully focused on Alpine’s fight with Williams, about which he said in Interlagos on Thursday: “I think we will have a tight fight with Williams until the end of the season . There are only a few points separating us, so we have to get the most out of the car and take every opportunity when it comes. I think I’m doing my best, considering the equipment I had at my disposal in the last two races.
I think we’re in for an interesting weekend. Firstly, Interlagos has new asphalt. Secondly, a sprint weekend. As we know, races in Brazil usually take place in unexpected scenarios, and the forecast does not rule out precipitation these days. My team and I will do our best and I hope we get the chance.
The team is going through a difficult season and I hope we can optimize everything this weekend.”
