Carlos Sainz: “I think this track is more suitable for our rivals, especially McLaren, but we want to compete with them. Reflecting on the victory in Mexico City, Carlos said: “I really wanted to win the race before I left the team, and I did that in Mexico City in the presence of my family, which made the day unforgettable. That evening we all went out to dinner and celebrated until two in the morning. We really needed this!
This victory did not so much bring relief as motivation to perform well. If there is still a chance to win, I will do everything I can to help Ferrari in the battle for the Constructors’ Championship.
