Jack Douhan will make his Formula 1 debut in 2025, succeeding Esteban Ocon at Alpine. However, the Italian press writes that this may not happen.
We have already reported, citing the German press, that Franco Colapinto’s performance made such a strong impression on Flavio Briatore that he started negotiations with the Argentine managers for a contract for 2026. Now, however, La Gazzetta dello Sport assures that Briatore will follow Franco season as Pierre Gasly’s partner.
If this rumor is true, Jack Duhan will be fired before his debut, which is unusual for Formula 1 but fits well with Flavio Briatore’s management style.
Another factor that could indirectly influence changes in Alpine’s composition is financial. Jack Duane has no serious sponsorship, while many Argentinian companies are willing to pay for Colapinto.
