Porsche admitted that Vettel will participate in Le Mans

Porsche will field three 963 Supercars at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, and there is a vacancy in one of the teams, including Nick Tendi and Felipe Nasr. The director of the Porsche LMDh factory program, Urs Kurathle, admitted that Sebastian Vettel will have a place behind the wheel.

“We are really missing one driver,” confirmed Urs Kuratle in an interview with Sportscar365. “We are thinking about it, but we don’t have a specific name yet.”

However, when asked directly whether Vettel is a candidate for the vacant seat, Kuratle said: “I wouldn’t rule it out. Sebastian and Porsche have a friendly relationship and are in constant contact with each other. At this point I wouldn’t rule it out [сотрудничество с Феттелем]but no decision has been made yet.”

At the beginning of this year, the four-time world champion already tested the 963 hypercar, but the parties could not agree on a performance at Le Mans. Perhaps negotiations over Sebastian Vettel’s return to the wheel in 2025 will be more successful.
