The Trident Formula 2 team has announced line-up changes for the remaining two rounds of the season. Max Esterson will take the wheel in Qatar and Abu Dhabi instead of Richard Verschor.
In 2024, the 22-year-old American driver spent his first full season in Formula 3 at Jenzer Motorsport. His best results were sixth place in the Bahrain sprint and seventh place in Sunday’s race at Spa. In the individual competition he took twenty-first place and earned eleven points.
Max Esterson: “It’s great to go to Formula 2, even though it happened earlier than I expected. Just two years ago I raced and won in Formula Ford, and now I’m about to make my debut in Formula 2.
Everything happened very quickly, but my loved ones are confident that I am ready to make this leap successfully. I have been working hard with the Trident team and I feel prepared. I express my deep gratitude to the entire team for such a warm welcome.”
