Nico Rosberg announced his retirement from Formula 1 immediately after winning the title in 2016. Since then, the German racer regularly attends the championship stages as a television pundit, but spends most of his time on business.
Nico founded the venture capital fund Rosberg Ventures. The racer said he has been able to attract investments worth $100 million over the years. Rosberg added that being a world champion helps him close deals.
“I am a very humble person,” Nico Rosberg told Forbes magazine. – I only have two minutes to introduce myself and distinguish myself from the rest. I once walked up to Mike Maples Jr., the co-founder of Floodgate, and said, “Hi, my name is Nico, I’m a Formula 1 world champion.”
One of Rosberg’s investors confirmed to Forbes that Nico is successful in business: “There are a lot of people in this industry who go around making promises about the financial results they can achieve. Niko brings results.”
