Three rounds before the end of the season, Ferrari is 36 points behind McLaren in the battle for first place in the constructors’ championship. The Italian team plans to win back and to achieve this it will bring several technical innovations to the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix.
First of all, we talk about the new specification of the SF-24 underbody, which Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will test during the first and second training sessions. Scuderia engineers hope the new product will reduce the car’s sway on the straights. In addition, they will be able to evaluate the correlation of data between the wind tunnel and the actual track, which will help choose the basic underbody configuration of Project 677, the 2025 car.
During training, Leclerc and Sainz will also test a new version of the front wing. If it proves effective, the team will continue to use it in the remaining sessions of the weekend.
As for the rear wing, in Las Vegas it will be the same specification on Ferrari cars as was used in the Spa and Monza stages.
