One of the best commentators, former Formula 1 driver Martin Brundle, may leave the Sky Sport F1 channel following Damon Hill, about whose departure we recently wrote.
Former Sky F1 pundit and now FIA steward Johnny Herbert said Hill was “very unhappy” with the criticism he received for his views on Max Verstappen. And he fears Brundle, along with leading commentator David Croft, could be the next to leave the star-studded team.
Johnny Herbert: “As far as Hill is concerned, I honestly don’t know if it was Hill’s decision or Sky’s. But I know he was criticized for his comments about Max, maybe he himself felt he didn’t need it.
He was very unhappy with the insane level of abuse he received for his comments towards Max. Maybe all this negativity forced him to make a decision.
Changes are happening. If he were forced to leave, I wonder what they would do with Martin Brundle and David Croft.”
