At the final round in Sao Paulo, both Alpine drivers finished in the top three, allowing the team to move up to sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship. At the FIA press conference in Las Vegas, Esteban Ocon admitted that this result was possible due to a successful set of circumstances.
Esteban Ocon: “Recently we noticeably increased the race pace – thanks to new products the car has become better. But still, the result of the last race became possible thanks to the fact that the team took advantage of the opportunity presented. We must continue in the same spirit and earn points whenever the opportunity arises. We will try to end the season in the same way.”
When the French driver was asked to comment on Formula 1’s decision to hold a joint presentation of all teams before the start of the 2025 season, Esteban said: “To be honest, as a fan I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t get to see every I attended the presentations that day because I had other things to do. Now the day is coming when we will see all the cars.
As a fan I am happy with this, but as a driver I understand that this is not the best decision from a PR point of view. Besides, we all have a very busy day ahead of us. But organizationally speaking, this is still the right decision compared to what it was before, especially when there were two teams presenting on the same day.”
