Speaking at a meeting with fans in Las Vegas in the Williams fan zone, Franco Colapinto expressed hope that the remaining races of the season will go better than the Brazilian stage.
Franco Colapinto: “The Las Vegas Grand Prix is one of those races that I really wanted to participate in, and now I’m here. It’s true that it’s cold in Las Vegas and I’m freezing, but I’m glad our car is OK!
Our guys at the team base in Grove have done a great job of preparing the cars for this race, and now both FW46s have the same configuration. In Brazil the equipment was seriously damaged, meaning Williams specialists had to work many hours to get everything ready on time, and thanks to them we will be at the start in Las Vegas.
So far it’s going even better than I expected. I was able to earn points in a few races, but at every new track you have to overcome new challenges – that’s exactly what happened in Brazil.
But we are improving the quality of our preparation, I am already communicating more effectively with the team and gradually, step by step, I am adapting to the car, so I really hope that the remaining races will be more successful for me.”
