With three rounds left in the season, Haas is seventh in the constructors’ championship, three points behind Alpine. Kevin Magnussen believes his team is able to stay ahead of the competition in the remaining races.
Kevin Magnussen: “We can’t be sure of anything and we didn’t even think about Alpine, but suddenly they are in front of us. We believe that our car is fast and that the team has consistently earned points recently. In addition, Aston Martin is having problems and there will still be many points to be earned in the remaining races.
Three teams are currently competing for sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship. It means a lot to us to finish sixth or eighth. Yes, the driver will not be able to put this result on his CV, but the position in the Constructors’ Championship is very important for everyone in the team.
All the new products we introduced this year proved effective. Thanks to the latest updates, the car is slightly faster per lap, easier to drive and more economical on the tires. Thanks to the latest innovations, the car has a greater range, and this is a testament to the excellent work of the team.”
When asked about his plans for 2025, Kevin said he expects to continue working with Haas, but no longer as lead driver.
“Next year I will not race in Formula 1 and that is clear,” says Magnussen. – In every race I learn something new and try to have fun. I’ve made it pretty clear that I want to continue working with Haas in some capacity. Now my team and I are discussing how we can implement this. This is more of a question for Ayo Komatsu: how he views this and whether he can help me.”
