Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso posted the thirteenth and fourteenth fastest times respectively in the second training session of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Both Aston Martin drivers complained that the low temperatures made it difficult to get the tires into range.
Lance walk (13th): “A pretty difficult day. This circuit is not easy to drive due to the heavy braking zones and the proximity of the walls, and the low temperature makes it difficult to warm up the tires. However, we did well.
It’s too early to make any predictions about the weekend’s results. The team will study the collected data and make improvements to the car.”
Fernando Alonso (14th): “Not the easiest day. Low temperatures in the evening made it difficult to warm up the tires and bring them into operating range. We tested different settings during both training sessions and now we need to study the data to improve tomorrow.”
