In Las Vegas, Red Bull Racing chief Christian Horner said the team may postpone the decision on who will be Max Verstappen’s partner in 2025 until the Australian Grand Prix in March, the first stage of next season. At the same time, Horner added that he is waiting for Sergio Perez’s results in the last three Grand Prix of the season as the team continues to fight for the Constructors’ Championship.
Christian Horner: “All our drivers have signed contracts and we know the terms of these contracts. If we want, we can postpone the lineup decision to Melbourne next year. Simply because we have such contracts with drivers. But of course at the end of the year we will evaluate all the information we have available.
Sergio is our driver and we want him to give the best of himself. He has had a very difficult time in recent weeks and months. Given the battle in the Constructors’ Championship, we really need both cars to get results, which has not been the case recently.
That’s why we hope that Sergio will perform strongly in the remaining races. Without this we cannot possibly win the Constructors’ Championship.”
