Tsunoda: Everything that happens in Vegas is an adventure

Yuki Tsunoda, the Japanese Visa RB driver, had a very good qualifying in Las Vegas and will start today from 7th position. At the same time, he has a fighting spirit and even dreams of staying ahead of Pierre Gasly, because this is important for Visa RB in the battle for sixth place in the constructors’ championship.

Yuki Tsunoda: “I would call everything that happens in Las Vegas an adventure. In training we were initially at the end of the second ten, but from session to session we kept improving. Although I honestly didn’t expect us to make it to the qualifying finals.

And now we are in a good mood because we understand that this in itself is a significant achievement. So I have a fighting and confident attitude going into the race and it will be great for our team if we manage to finish ahead of Alpine and Haas.

Naturally, Pierre Gasly showed an excellent result yesterday and will start from 3rd position. A few days ago he and I were at a karaoke bar, and I think that brought him luck! But given our position in the Constructors’ Championship, we have to try to stay ahead of him in the race. In general, let’s see what we can do. But the race promises to be difficult.”
