Nico Hulkenberg’s eighth place in Vegas saw Haas F1 return to sixth in the Constructors’ Championship. Kevin Magnussen finished 12th and earned no points…
Nico Hulkenberg (8th): “I am very satisfied. Eighth place is the best result we could achieve today, because we are the fifth fastest team.
I covered the distance cleanly and made no mistakes, but the granulation made it difficult to check the condition of the tires, especially at the front. But we succeeded and surpassed our main rivals.”
Kevin Magnussen (12th): “In my opinion, the one pit stop strategy was not entirely optimal, so I only finished 12th. On hard tires the car was fast, but on medium tires there was granulation and we lost speed.
We fought but didn’t change the tires, we continued driving and we lost everything. Today we were not able to achieve the maximum result.”
