Bottas: My last three races for Sauber are coming up

After the end of the season, both Sauber drivers will leave the team and possibly retire from Formula 1, so the coming weeks will be emotional.

Valtteri Bottas: “My last three races with Sauber are coming up, which makes this moment special and adds even more motivation. Vegas had a great atmosphere last year and the race was exciting, so I’m looking forward to this weekend.

The track is more difficult than it seems, little grip and cold nights cause problems that can affect the balance of power. In Brazil we made significant progress, especially in qualifying, where we reached the second session in both the sprint and main qualifying, which increased our confidence. I hope that with the new details that the team has been working on for a long time, we will add even more this weekend.

Our goal is to get stability from the car so that we can compete with other teams. Building on what we have learned so far and staying focused, we will head into the final series of races of the season.”

Guanyu Zhou: “Last year was a fun weekend in Las Vegas and I’m looking forward to going back. There were some problems in Brazil, but the team has improved and we hope to build on this progress.

We brought several new parts, I wonder how these will affect the operation of the machine. The difference in results is minimal, any improvement can have a significant effect. I will try to get used to the track quickly and make steady progress in each session.”
